Sep 6, 2014 - Dunnigan, CA

We left Klamath this morning intending to say along the lake in Nice where we had stayed the last time we were in the area but, we never found a place to stay and went all they way to Dunnigan, CA. A long day but we were happy to find a place for the night. We enjoyed the drive through the redwoods in the RV's. We saw some pretty country today but a lot of very dry areas due to the lack of rain. We did find a fresh vegetable market along the way and stopped to shop. We got a wonderful cantalope but the other stuff we picked up was not so good.

Then headed on quite a long walk across the dam for the tour. Down and down we went right into the dam! We had a wonderful guide who explained everything in everyday language....

Although it is about 1000 ft. shorter than our Coquihalla Summit, the climb is basically straight up the side of the mountains. A steady climb but our truck hauled the trailer with no problems at all, we...

Jun 4, 2009 - Define Resort?

Whatever happened to “under promise and over deliver?” Well, this small park in the middle of nowhere did have good power, large sites, and fragrant eucalyptus trees. Charlie wasn’t inspired by the cowpatch nine-hole course though, and “resort” was an overstatement! It was fine for an overnight stay, and we headed out early the next morning.

Dunnigan, California - August 6 We made our last stop at the “Campers Inn” in Dunnigan, California. We will be home on Thursday August 7th. Friday it is back to the usual routine although we’re not sure what that will be yet. It will not be the usual for Bill as he will not have to get up at 4:00 a.m. and go to work. Isn’t retirement wonderful?
