We drove Mary to the Phoenix airport today. It was time for her to fly back to New Jersey. It had been a fun three weeks while she was here. In the afternoon, we took a side trip to the Cibola National Wildlife Refuge. It is has a short drive around some fields and along some trees. We saw plenty of Snow Geese and Sandhill Cranes. We also saw a HUGE flock of Red-winged and Yellow-Headed blackbirds. We saw some man made nests. These are four inch PVC pipes that stick out of the ground and are used by Burrowing Owls.
