(Ron Writing) This morning we left Loleta, CA and headed north on Hwy 101 a short distance to Eureka, CA. This is one of the larger towns in this area and we spent the day exploring the town. We visited this town in 2004, the year when we first had our travel trailer but it was before we started full-time RVing. One of the things we enjoyed doing here was eating at the Samoa Cookhouse. Apr 28, 2013 - Blue Lake, CA.

2 Days ago we moved 256 Miles North from Petaluma to Blue Lake, CA. just north of Eureka, CA. It was a wild ride along Hwy. 101 or the Redwood Highway, more twist and turns, up hill, down hill but beautiful scenery of tall pines and rivers. The first part of the drive was through fields of grape vines every available field was vines. Then we started up into the hills and our speed avg. was about 50 miles an hour due to the hills and curves.
