We have to leave today! So much has happened to delay this trip and now the last possible day to leave and still make our appointments has arrived. Shirley has been sick for two weeks and Steve had to have emergency dental surgery which put off his committment to help our son Micah install a solar system for our friends in southern California. Oct 23, 2008 - Day 61 Home

We arrived home after dark and more or less put the dogs in the orchard and fell into bed. The next morning we were up bright and early for a day at the dentist in Chico. If anyone is looking for an absolutely wonderful dentist we can recommend one to you! We winterized the kitchen, put tarps over the 16' X 20' military surplus tent, secured the wood stove chimney to the barn roof, did a bunch of watering and got ready for Shabbat! Mar 12, 2008 - Bangor

Bangor - Monday March 10th 2008 Today we all drove up to Bangor where Micah's parents live. You head east along highway 80 through Sacramento then north-east. The trip took us about 2 hours, Micah drove. Steve and Shirley have a 10 acre property up there and are in the process of building various cottages there. They live in the top of a large barn that they have converted into living space. Steve's current project is installing 2x 40 feet shipping containers underground (cut and fill).
