Sep 30, 2010 - On the road again!

We were back on the road again yesterday morning, after such great visits with Leisa and Stephen and families. Last night couldn't connect with the internet and too tired to down load pictures. We loved, loved, loved Santa Barbara, Leisa! You were right. And the California Coast! And the missions. We have around an eight hour ride tomorrow to reach Tucson. There are so many pictures sorry you can't see them all (bet you aren't tho!!! More then.

Dec 28, 2009 - Santa Anita Park

We rolled out of the RV park around 9 o'clock westbound on I-10 for California. The checkpoint at the state line was brief, basically a wave-through. We had good roads and light traffic to Indio. We stopped there for a break for us and Foxy. We anticipated the traffic would get a little heavier west of there and it did and the roads deteriorated a bit too. We took I-10 all the way to CA 57 and then I-210 west to Arcadia. We had a couple of routes mapped out as contingencies in case left turns were prohibited since the races are on at Santa...

Dec 29, 2008 - Arcadia, CA

Yesterday we drove 126 miles to the Santa Anita Race Track in Arcadia, CA. After parking and checking in, we had a nice dinner with everybody. There is 70 rigs attending this Rose Bowl Parade Rally. First thing in the morning we had breakfast which was provided. It was a full breakfast, even by my standards. This morning we took a short bus ride to the City of Sierra Madre float where we got a tour by the head guy. After the tour we got a chance to cut roses for the float..... 40,000 of them, but since there were 150 of us it didn't take...
