Mar 23, 2015 - We are Home !
We stopped in Las Vegas for a quick visit with Bill's nephew and his wife, Bill and Melissa. His nephew was named after Bill and was our ring bearer in our wedding in 1977 when he was six years old. Bill and Melissa have two great children, Raquel who just turned 11, and Ryan who was 6 in January. We then left Las Vegas and headed home, staying overnight in Bakersfield at a great RV park that has a sports bar/restaurant in the middle of the...Jump to full entry
Nov 5, 2014 - Finally Home !
We got home last week but it's been a busy several days. I thought I'd wrap it up with some "numbers": We left July 28 and got home October 27 for a total of 93 days on the road. We logged 8400 miles in those 93 days and covered 15 states. The temperature high was 104 (thank you OREGON and Joanie's home state) and the low was 59 one day in KANSAS. Jul 28, 2014 - We are Off !
I got up at 5:30 am since that is what I usually do on the day we leave for a trip. Bill (and Jessie) slept in while I packed up some last minute things. A few more pairs of shoes ! Then I got online and on the phone at EXACTLY 7AM to register for the annual STITCHES CONVENTION in February and to reserve my hotel room at the Hyatt Regency in Santa Clara. This has become an annual event that I look forward to every year. Classes in all aspects of knitting, weaving, crocheting, and everything that you can do with "colored thread" as my sister...Jump to full entry

MONDAY, January 28, 2008 Well, Friday arrived and we decided it was time to finally hit the road. It was quite the challenge (that’s an understatement) to back out of the dead-end street where we had been staying for a week. We finally made it and were on our way. Today’s trek was to the Santa Cruz UU church in Aptos, CA. It’s supposed to be about a 2-hour ride, but with the rain and hills, it took us a bit longer. No one was at the church when we arrived and we just settled ourselves into a spot in the front of the church. We finally met...Jump to full entry
