Mar 18, 2019 - Now it is getting warm..
On Sunday it finally started to get to the temperatures that we consider top end of our comfort zone. It was in the low 80's with an east wind of about 15 - 20 mph winds. With a humidity of less than 20%, it was comfortably warm. I started getting ready to head out later this week by getting the bicycles mounted on the back of the Bus and the cover installed and properly secured. I got the CLAM set back up to make sure that everything is dry and dusted out as much as possible. I started getting everything in place to start packing the Bus...Jump to full entry
Mar 16, 2019 - Busy Saturday
Today was so busy, I needed to update tonight so I would not forget anything I wanted to share. So, let me get started. Ziva and I were at the Dog Park early. We visited with Buddy, one of Ziva's friends and his mother. Mary was taking Buddy for the last trip around the park before they would leave later in the day. They both have been good friends for the last three months. Then we were joined by Cosmo, Kisa, Sunny, Shiloh and Rue and the owning parents. Ziva had a great time and we were back to the Bus by 8:45. Then it was time for a...Jump to full entry
Mar 15, 2019 - Ahhh, the March winds are here
The winds of March are here. Yesterday the winds were 25 - 35 mph with occasional gusts over 40 mph. Today it slowed down to 20 - 30 mph. At times today I thought it was gustier than yesterday. No matter, it has blown. It will blow about the same Saturday and Sunday and then almost quit...thank goodness. Yesterday it was 68 degrees, today it was 71 degrees and tomorrow about 80...finally. Tomorrow brings the Canada parade. I will try to be ready and get pictures of what the Canadians do in their parade. That is followed by our last Burger...Jump to full entry
Mar 13, 2019 - OMG ! ! Flood warnings for Yuma
To say the title of tonight's offering was a shock to us yesterday is an understatement. Now, it gets somewhat ridiculous when I put on this the expected rain fall was to be only a quarter of an inch. I was out a couple of times and my rain jacket did not get completely wet. Needless to say...the flood never happened. The dog park did not even get standing water as it did several weeks ago. I failed to expand enough in my last writing about the air show. While we were closer than we were last year we could only hear some of the flight...Jump to full entry
Mar 12, 2019 - Yuma AZ, another update
Almost another month has gone by since our last update. Time is still flying by. I'm sure that everyone up north & north east can't wait for some spring weather and those involved in sugaring are wondering if the weather will ever cooperate. As we are adding this entry to our journal, mother nature is giving us a pretty heavy down pour, and there is thunder off in the distance. This is a unusual weather event for this area of the country. ** At the end of February, we attended the Yuma Aeromodlers air show. They fly remote controlled planes...Jump to full entry
Mar 11, 2019 - Busy, Busy, Busy
Saturday morning we left the country before 8:30 a.m. We strolled through Los Algodones and went to the beauty shop. Sue D. needed a haircut. We sat inside since it was still a little cool out in the shaded courtyard. I did stroll down for a fresh hot chocolate. It was good. Sue was through in about 30 minutes and we were out strolling through the small Mexican town. Sue D was looking for frames...she is an artist. Sue and I were not looking for anything in particlar. We have heard for years that folks purchase their medications in Mexico...Jump to full entry
Mar 8, 2019 - Better weather...
We have started to enjoy the Arizona weather and getting into shorts, tee shirts and sandals...but woke up this morning switching on the heat. It is hard to believe that we now consider 53 degrees as cool. This morning everyone in the Dog Park (parents) had on long sleeved sweatshirt, heavy shirt or jacket. We got soft in 5 days. I think it had to do with the wind. It was 10+ mph this morning with predicted winds of 20 - 30 mph with gusts of 40+. Anyway Ziva and I cut our visit to about 30 minutes and returned to the Bus. But, let's back up...Jump to full entry
Mar 5, 2019 - Back to Arizona
We had to head back towards Arizona for our RV Club Rally (Escapees). On the way west, we stopped one more place with Bill and Dory, the Sony Bono Salton Sea National Wildlife Refuge. It is supposed to be one of the most diverse refuges in the country. At the visitor center were some bird feeders. The ground was literally crawling with Gamble’s Quail and Common Ground Doves. We hiked out to a pond and saw a lot of ducks and geese too. Fun stop. Dory and Bill went back to Anza Borrego and we pushed on to Yuma for the night.Jump to full entry
Mar 4, 2019 - The nice weather has returned...
Finally, the weather has gotten nice again. It started to change last week. Yeah!! I know that our friends at home may not be sympathetic, as they still have remnants of snow. But we are down here for the nice weather, just in case you were wondering. So what's been going on with the Kramer's, you ask? Well, due to the weather it has been mostly inside activities. It has been cold, and wet down here. On February 16th, Butch, Julie, and I, went to the Foothills Founders day parade. It was cold and windy so we wore our hats and coats....Jump to full entry
Mar 4, 2019 - Arizona weather has finally arrived...for now...
Since we have been in Arizona (since mid December) the weather has teased us with warm days then it has always cooled off...but, for this week it is warming up. It has been into the 80's the last few days and will warm on up to the mid and upper 80's in a few days. By the weekend it will cool back off to the upper 60"s for about a week. Now the secret of knowing if it is Arizona weather is when the local folks start acknowledging that rattlesnakes are now being spotted. That is now being done. Huh-oh...that means I will have to start...Jump to full entry

Due to the popularity of this RV Resort we are a long waaaay down on the waiting list for next year. Thus we are now looking to find another place for next year. Oh well as nice as it has been here...nothing lasts forever, sigh. The weather here has finally warmed up with us being in the high twenties all week. It has been a long cold few weeks here with everyone bundled up in warm clothes.Todays high will only reach 25C but that is just fine with us! Marg & Kerry dropped by for a few days and we had a nice visit and taking in another trip...Jump to full entry
