Casa Grande to Goldfield Thursday, April 2, 2009 - I spent the morning on the phone with Hughes tech services, in India, resolving a problem with the connection of the modem not allowing me to send or receive anything. It was finally resolved after 50 minutes and I then went out to interview Bob Schoose, the owner/mayor of Goldfield and a few others that work in the town on a daily basis. Jan 12, 2008 - Goldfield Ghost Town, AZ

On Friday 1/11 Pete & I decided to head up to Goldfield Ghost Town, which is located at the base of the Superstition Mountains (8 miles north of Apache Junction, AZ on Hwy. 88). With the discovery of mine in 1892, Goldfield became a community of approx. 5,000 people town consisted of 3 saloons, boarding houses, a hotel & a general store. There were 50 working mines in the district. The legendary Lost Dutchman Mine still debated today as whether it has ever been rediscovered.
