Due to a forecast for a cold wet weather system heading our way, we left Tucson a few days sooner than planned and headed east along I-10 about 60 miles to the town of Cochise. Our purpose for heading to Cochise was to meet up with Dennis from Performance Brakes so that he could do an inspection and some maintenance. Dennis installed our disc brakes for us while we were in Cottondale Florida 2 years ago, almost to the day. Mar 15, 2009 - In Search of Cochise
Monday morning we made the usual dash to the Great Doughnut Race. That’s what we are calling the Monday morning meetings at Desert Trail RV Park. People arrive 45 minutes early so they do not miss out on the free dougnuts. In the afternoon we went to the International Wildlife Museum where they have over 400 species of mammals, birds and insects on display. Tuesday we drove to Colossal Cave Mountain Park where we toured an underground cave. The cave has been dry for about 9000 years so all formations were created prior to that time frame....Jump to full entry
