Bear Creek RV Park is not the campground that I thought it would be. But this is a place to put our camper for a couple of nights while we look over Seward, Alaska. Our 127 mile trip to Seward went very smoothly. On the way, we looked for beluga whale in Cook Inlet, Dall sheep, and moose. Since we were looking for them, we did not see any. Like we have seen before, all the mountains and lakes and rivers are beautiful. No road construction or frost heaves bothered us on this road. Jun 13, 2007 - Seward
We left Kenai and drove to Seward. On our way we stopped off at Copper Landing and went a nice raft trip. The parking was a fun event...they said on the phone they had room for our RV but in the end after I pulled in, they did not. We had to unhook the car turn around and drive the RV to a nearby camp ground. The only bad thing was that while we were doing this we missed a black bear that lazily strode through the area. Jun 8, 2007 - Williwaw to Seward.
I have now posted yesterday's journal - please check it out. We woke up late after sleeping like babies!! It was cold and quiet, so we could snuggle up under the Goose Duvet last night. After a lazy breakfast of toast and fruit, and hooking up the car in the driving rain, we left Williwaw, extremely disappointed that we didn't have the opportunity to explore the campground because of the non-stop rain. We decided to double back the 9 miles to the Alyeska turnoff, where we saw the last Tesoro - to get gas and 2 cups of steaming Java! The...Jump to full entry
