Jul 25, 2013 - Close encounters with Mr. Bear

7-22-2013 From: Ninilchik To: Hidden Lake Campground, on the Kenai Peninsula. We are going to a campground in the Kenai National Wildlife refuge, which has no hook ups, so you want to go in with empty tanks and be full of water. Jun 8, 2006 - Back in Sterling

After two beautiful, sunny days in Homer it got overcast and cold so I got out of town. Found out it was the same all over the Kenai Peninsula. Hi temp today was 50 degrees the last I saw. Fishing season opens on the Kenai and Russian Rivers Sunday. I plan to be there to watch the action - if I can find a parking space. Then off to Fairbanks I think. Forecase for southern Alaska is cloudy, rain, temps in the 50's for the next 10 days. Fairbanks is mid 70's and sunny.

IT is a good week of travel however we learn that it is both too BIG( Mary never drives it) and it is too small.( where do we put our things). It is also too comfortable...it is hard for us to get out at campgrounds and get our hands dirty when...
