May 13, 2010 - Over the sea to Skye

Although there's a bridge over the sea to Skye now (and it's free thanks Mr Salmond), we decided to go the long way round. After saying goodbye to Kath and Ralph (what a brilliant time we had with them), we headed just up the road from Glencoe to Corran where there is a tiny ferry journey (ten minutes tops) over Loch Linnhe to Ardgour on the Sunart peninsula. Jun 2, 2006 - Isle of Skye

Once on the Isle of Skye we headed straight for Dun Flodigary hostel in Dun Flodigary. It is right next to the Quirang - a large mountainous ridge. The hostel looks out over the ocean with the Quirang behind. The first day the weather was very foggy and we drove around Skye and visited some sights such as the Crofters museum and the Dunvegan Castle. We visited Flora MacDonald's grave - she was the brave chick who helped Bonny Prince Charlie escape from the English. The next day we hiked up to the Quirang and went up to the 'table' which...
