Sep 11, 2006 - Descending Out of the Highlands

While our drive to Blair Athol was in pouring rain and we didn't see much of the lovely scenery along the way, the sky brightened a bit the next day for our journey to Inverness. This was as far north as we planned to go in Scotland, and the landscape of the central Highlands was incredible. Rolling hills gave way to big valleys flanked by rugged mountains covered in purple heather. Had a nice breakfast in Belushi's this morning and then lugged all my stuff back up to the Haggis office on the High Street. We all got loaded onto the bus, and our guide Dave gave us the low-down on our trip with this GPS system (global positioning sword that he uses to point at things on the map)!
