This morning we woke up to some bad weather. It was raining and it looked like it would continue for the whole day. Breakfast at the hotel was great. Again the typical full breakfast except because we are in Scotland it is now called (Full Scottish Breakfast. Everything is the same but now we can have poridge. We took the train from Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh. We road along what is called the Kyle Line. Apperently there is a continuous struggle to keep the rail companies from closing this line. It is the most expensive line to maintain...

May 29, 2006 - Kyle of Lochash

Up nice and early and onwards to Loch Ness. On the way stopped at the ruins of Castle Urquhart. What can I say, they're old. Was just impressed with the sheer size of Loch Ness on the way in. It is a very very large body of water. I have always been interested in the moster stories from a kid, so was excited, and I don't get excited often. Had to do the mostl reputable of the 2 tourist attractions about the beast. Unfortunately for me I have come out a disbeliever now. Damn science!!.
