Jul 25, 2018 - Day 4 - Irn Bru is Tickety Boo

We said a fond goodbye to Glasgow today, took a bus to the airport to pick up our rental car. The destination is Stirling, home of Stirling Castle and the National William Wallace Memorial. It’s not very far from Glasgow - about 45 minutes. But we’ll be driving there, and that scares me a little bit. I’ve driven on the left before, in Ireland, but that was 6 years ago. Sep 13, 2013 - Loch Ness and time to head south

Today we left the beautiful B&B at Spean Bridge to head along the Loch. But not until we'd admired more antiques, eaten a scrumptious breakfast and fitted in games of badminto and cricket on the lawn. We drove along the length of Loch Ness keeping our eyes open for the monster. But she wasn't seen. We may have spotted Great Grandma Betty's campground on the side of the Loch though. The tickets are the same price as online (despite the website saying book before 6pm and get a discount). £8 for an open return to Falkirk, and another £2 gets an all day bus ticket while...

Jul 25, 2010 - sick day

Well it had to happen sooner or later - Jeff and I are both sick - sore throats, stuffy heads, and to top it all off I cracked one of my teeth and it's starting to throb. I'm ready for my own bed... But today we're off to the Wallace monument - we watched Braveheart last night to get in the mood. I know it's a historically inaccurate movie in soooo many ways, but it fires up the blood and got the boys all stoked to see another castle. I'll upload the photos once we return tonight. I think we're having dinner tonight with the Kerr side of...
