We visited Doune Castle (our 32nd castle), which was a 14th Century castle made famous in 1972 when Monty Python filmed the Holy Grail there. It was a great castle, sadly our last, to walk around and explore. They were doing some restoration work around the castle. The Great Hall was huge (especially for this size of castle) - 10 paces wide by 25 paces long. The castle was well preserved and in pretty good shape.
