May 11, 2019 - And another long walk

After the rain and hail stopped around midday we set off for a walk into Tring (a round trip of about 3 1/2 miles). Loosened up the tight muscles as we walked. There was a fair/market happening both inside and outside the Church so I wasa bit disappointed as it was nearly impossible to take photos. We often look in the Estate Agents windows and are always surprised at the price of the houses. £500,000.00 for a semi detached house (that over AU$1,000,000.00). And the traffic continues to surprise us - how there is no serious road...

New Adventures

May 10, 2019 - A long walk today

We're moored near the village of Tring today, with the sun shining it wasn't too bad for goiing through the locks (3 today). We walked a mile into Aldbury which has the most old houses in a village we've seen so far. It is something out of Midsummer Murders. A lovely pond and a set of stocks from days gone by. We walked through the village and having spotted the Bridgewater monument up on the hill decided to carry on and walk up to see it. Apr 16, 2017 - A walk around the Buckinghamshire countryside near Tring

After the Capper family gettogether we had moved north and tried a new campground near Leighton Buzzard. It was a bit tight to get in and there was only on pitch we could fit on. We also discovered over the weekend that the voltage on the electricity was low, so not happy. We met up with Sarah’s parents Marilyn and Rob for a enjoyable chat on the Friday.
