The weather was a bit mixed but we decided to head out to Stowe Gardens near Buckingham. We had for years on our way to Oxford passed Stowe House and Gardens but had never stopped to visit. We entered the park via the Grand Avenue a spectacular entrance to the park. The Grand Avenue was created in the 1770s, and is one and half miles in length. It was originally lined with elm trees.
