Hi there, Well had interesting night last night,went to bed,fell asleep to wake up 2am in the morning feeling extremely weird,hot,shivery but not I'll.Was a bit worried as it was a horrible feeling.David thinks it was heat stroke? Did feel like that actually but took a few panadol and fell asleep.Had a huge sleep and have woken today feeling better but skin feels itchy on my arms and hot...we were wondering if it was the bed,it is a latex new mattress and is so cozy but gets extremely warm once you have been in I awhile..Had a chill out...

Jul 4, 2011 - A Farewell to the North

Today we said goodbye to Derbyshire. Sigh. Before we checked out of our hotel we walked around Bakewell a bit - we had sone so last night, but being Sunday evening everything was closed. We did a little shopping; I bought a copy of the British version of the first Harry Potter book. The lady in the bookshop didn't realize that there are differences in the American edition - like the title. We also bought some Bakewell tarts, because we wanted to see if they bake well in Bakewell. They were okay; kind of like a cake pie with jelly in the...

Visit with Pam and Ron In case you are ever in Stamford, we highly recommend that you become a member of Nick's family (somehow - could be hard as many marriages are happilly in place) and stay with Nick's Great Aunt and Uncle, Pam and Ron. A short 50 minute train ride north from London and 15 minute hop in the car takes you to this English country-side oasis. We had our fantastic time walking around and exploring the areas where Nick's Nana grew up. We took in Burleigh House, the Rutland Lake conservation area (30 years ago it was a valley...
