Friday 2nd October(Contd.) Moving on through Folkestone we stopped for a pot noodles lunch beside the sea wall just outside Hythe, still in the motorhome, thanks to the rain. A good day to be inside the motorhome rather than walking around outside. We just poodled down the coast road around past Romney Marsh to the Dungeness promontory. On the way we passed the Pontins camp at Camber Sands. This brought back memories of the time back about 1977 when we stayed there when the kids were young. Apr 26, 2013 - Rye, Tenterden and Dungeness

Upon waking up on my 2nd day in Kent, Kathy asked me where I wanted to go. We thought Rye would be a good choice - since it is such a charming, quaint village with great shopping. Rye is jam-packed with marvelous little boutique shops scattered throughout several streets built on little hills (so they all have a serious grade). I can remember a little bit of rain on the day we went to Rye, but it didn't stay for too long.
