Aug 16, 2016 - 1 day to go

Ok, so we have checked in with Emirates, selected our seats and just now the car company called to confirm pickup time tomorrow. We're almost packed, have put stuff back in the wardrobe, made space in the kitchen cupboards for Phillipa and Jack, doing final washing, checked passports, final good wishes from Alice at Sally and Alice Travel Co. We're ready, now can't wait until tomorrow.

Mar 30, 2014 - Home!

Home! The journey, Cairns to Sydney went without any further hitches. The plane was an older Boeing 767, laid out for maximum passengers, with no built in entertainment systems though to our surprise we found an iPad in the seat pocket which provided access to the system once we had taken off. Thanks for all the messages of good luck we've had over the last few weeks, it's really good to know so many people are behind us! Bye for now, will see how this goes!

We went in search of The Artistic Stamper, which turned out to be a delightful stamp studio and shop which was a little hard to find. The shop owner was very kind and tried to persuade Kathy to come in and take a stamping class . . . I found her art on display to be just the artsy style I like. I bought a few trinkets for my stamping hobby and then we hopped back in Kathy's car and headed for Faversham market. The English market square is a bargain extravaganza...

May 8, 2012 - Home

Arrived in sunny UK yesterday, woke up to rainy UK this morning. Hope you've enjoyed our little trip, in hindsight we should probably have started it a month later when it would have been warmer and camping would have been an option. We loved France for the scenery and the people (believe it or not), though it was expensive, and Spain for the sun and the culture. Good to be home. See you all soon. xx
