Yesterday we were up early with Glenn for an 8am taxi to Maidenhead train station. From there we took the train to Ealing Broadway where I left the boys for a day in town and I continued on to Embankment, from where I walked to Waterloo and caught the train to Hampton Court. It was a short walk from the station to Hampton Court Palace where I bought a “senior” ticket for £14 and spent a very enjoyable couple of hours looking around the Palace and some of the gardens (including the apartments of Henry VIII and William and Mary) before...

I bought tickets to Hampton Court Palace on the Internet before we left home and we had step by step instructions on how to get there so caught the train and then walked from the station. Another beautiful day. The palace is most famous as the home of Henry VIII and his many wives and the displays are set up to tell the story of the life and times of Henry, his wives and court.
