After leaving St Michael's Mount, I headed for St Ives but the town was incredibly crowded which really put me off so instead, I headed off for Tintagel Castle, supposed birthplace of King Arthur. I actually didn't know this until I read the guide book and historians say its only speculation as the remains of the Castle seen today are from 13th century. However, this site has remanents of many buildings dating back a couple of thousand years or so.
