Day 13 about 10 miles Time to leave Danby Wiske on what locals told me would be an equally boring day to to the previous one. It was indeed very similar and the Aussies, Kiwis, Dutch and Brits I met all said they be glad to reach higher ground. I left the village and crossed the busy London to Edinburgh railway line before passing a succession of farm houses and walking the edge of fields and farm paths. Left Richmond after a crappy night sleep, Bev thinks the bed mattress was from the 18th century, I tend to agree. Bonnie had her own room and was supposed to come by after her shower, after an hour and a bottle of wine we found out she was locked in her room, oops.
