Today we headed south from Seahouses to explore the coastline further. Craster was our first port of call. From this small little village we took the coastal path along the rocky coast to walk to Dunstanburgh Castle an ionic symbol of Northumberland. The mile and half walk along the coast to the castle was stunning. Dunstanburgh Castle sits on a headland and in its day was the largest castle in Northumberland. The castle was begun in 1313 by Earl Thomas of Lancaster a powerful baron who was at the time in dispute with his cousin King Edward...
