May 7, 2019 - Cotswold Tour

This was our last day of sightseeing as we head to London Heathrow airport tomorrow. I hope you have enjoyed the journal and pictures. As was fitting, our last day was great with better weather and a private guided tour through small villages in the southern Cotswolds. We had opted for an “off the beaten track” tour and got to visit small villages we would have never seen on a larger tour. Several were just as they had been in Medieval times and were beautiful. Jan 27, 2008 - Lacock

This is an absolutely darling little villiage! Several films have been filmed here: Harry Potter, Pride and Predudice, and Moll Flanders to name the few I recognized! Josh got to eat his first "pub" meal ever! He had ribs, chips (fries), and salad (wich is some lettuce and a slice of tomatoe on the side of your plate, not an actual salad) and I had Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding! Aug 31, 2007 - Lacock

Lacock is an interesting little town because without the bitumen on the roads it really feels like it comes straight out of a few hundred years ago. In fact, because of this feel, its is a popular place for period dramas to be filmed although apart from the BBC production of Pride & Prejudice, I can't tell you what they were.
