Dec 30, 2019 - Before we go......
We've got our stuff ready....well sorta! We're only taking a small case each (carry on size) and a small backpack. It's really difficult to try and negotiate buses etc with larger bags. Our plans are to fly to Rio, change planes and fly to Salvador. We have 5 nights there, then there's the ferry to Morro do São Paulo for 2 nights. Then ferry to Valenca to catch the bus to Porto Seguro, 3 nights. Our plans then are a bit sketchy, but we're making our way back down to Rio for our flight home on 3 February.Jump to full entry
Jun 7, 2011 - Peterborough/Nottingham/Lincoln/Kingston Upon Hull
With a vegemite sandwich and nutella crossiant for breakfast we headed for Peterborough. Visited the Peterborough Cathedral, (every major town has a Cathedral) which was founded in 1118, had a walk through the town centre and then continued on our way through many quaint towns ie Grantham, birth place of Sir Issac Newton and Margaret Thatcher who once started life above her fathers grocery shop here. I don't think anyone really thinks about getting visas when they think about travelling. I certainly didn't - especially as I want to travel to the USA and it doesn't seem like the type of country you'd need a visa to visit if you get what I mean. But hey ho, I do need a visa, just to visit (and those of you who know me know why) so I logged onto the website a couple of months ago and tried to find out how I would go about applying for a B2 Holiday Visa initially.
