At last the weather looked as if it was improving a bit. It was a cold, dry sunny day so we decided to explore the village of Castle Acre in Norfolk. This small village boasts an extraordinary wealth of history. The village in the 11th and 12th centuries was located on a major trade and pilgrim to Thetford, Bromholm Priory and Walsingham.
