Finally a nice marina! We immediately went for a coffee at one of the cafes along the marina. Monastir has a well preserved fort and is quite a nice place with some white beach and a few tourist hotels. The tourists mainly come on cheap package holidays where they have room and all meals so quite often they never leave the hotel! We had the worst meal so far. Malcolm ordered steak that was so tough he could not cut it and when he complained the waiter replied, he could bring him a sharper knife! We were all a bit lazy just enjoying a little...

Tunisia Having survived the first term of school, the DeSmith family joined the rest of France in search of adventure and warmer weather for the October school break.
