This is my first entry for ages, my job is normally loading photos and I leave writing to Tony as he seems to retain a lot more of the information than I do.... but today he is on strike.... so here goes. This route from Bangkok to Siem Reap, Cambodia (where the Angkor temples are)is reputed as being one of the worst roads in SE Asia. Most travellers we have met in Thailand and Laos took a flight to get there. Sep 26, 2005 - Moving east to the Cambodian border Aranya Prathet

I was up at about 5am as Mum rang for a chat, and I wanted to speak to my dad as it's was his birthday the next day. The bus was ment to pick me up at the guest house at 7am. A man arrived and asked me and Amy (Nice girl I met staying at the guest house next door, just been living in Cambodia for 5 months so gave me lots of advise.) o follow him. I thought just down the road, but actually I had to lug my bags nearly 1 km to Kho San Road where the bus picked us up at 7.45 ish (late) After about 1 1/2 hours the bus broke down and we waited 3...

Dec 31, 2004 - Passage de la frontiere Thai/Cambodgienne

Passons maintenant au meilleur: le changement de pays... Alors, ca commence par un leve super tot (5h du mat, vous parlez de vacances...)et par 1h30 a attendre la navette sur le trottoir avant de partir dans un super bus climatise juste un peu habite par des moustiques thai. Jusque la, tout va bien, on roule tranquillement pendant 4 heures en direction de la frontiere, ya meme des films a la TV (sauf que biem sur comme partout en Asie, le son est a fond) premier arret pipi: comment ca marche... toujours pas de PQ, et la , plus de chasse d...
