Mar 8, 2005 - Koh Chang, Thailand

Hooray we made it to the beach. After 'One night in Bangkok' we decided enough was enough, we just had to head for a beach, but being in Thailand where do you go. Well we had never heard of Koh Chang, so seemed like the obvious choice..don't know anything about it let alone where it was...but the travel agent sold tickets there, so lets go! So off we went the next morning onto the VIP bus which means it has aircon and a toilet..bit like National Express..but nicely painted, 7 hours later we arrived at the pier to get the ferry to Koh...

Feb 14, 2005 - Ko Chang

After leaving the destruction of Ko Lanta on the request of the Thai's who ran the 'Where Else' resort (based on the fact they would have another mouth to feed and they knew what needed to be done once the majority of the rubbish had been piled). I left the island and headed back to Krabi ... and then I saw the TV reports from Phi Phi and Phuket ... in the overall scheme of things we were barely touched! I'd like to thank the many people who sent messages checking I was OK and hope the information I supplied to people who were checking on...

Feb 11, 2005 - Strandferie paa Ko Chang

Jan 7, 2005 - Koh Chang

After the events of the Tsunami we had had the wind knocked out of our sails a bit with regard to travelling. We felt a bit odd planning further adventures when there were so many travellers who had lost their lives around us. But we had another week or so to spend in Thailand until our flight out and 'The show must go on' as they say. Although another beach destination was not all that appealing, it was the lesser of two evils when the other option was a week in Bangkok. We decided to head over to Koh Chang - an island in the east near the...

Dec 22, 2004 - Thailand / Koh Chang

Nov 19, 2004 - Koh Chang

Having left the smog and chaos of Bangkok we headed to Ko Chang, an island off the Eastern coast of Thailand for some sun, sea and sand, and that's exactly what we got. It's a beautiful island, relatively unspoilt with picturesque views and beaches. The first night we arrived late and had to choose somewhere quickly to stay and ended up in a very remote resort that had only the hotel restaurant to keep you occupied when not lying on the beach. The nearest village couldn't be reached on foot, and the taxis stopped running on the entire...

Sep 25, 2004 - Koh Chang

Finally we get to a beach! After a 36 hour journey down from Chaing Mai we landed in Koh Chang on Wednesday evening. It's so chilled out and relaxing here, we thought that it would be full of tourists and backpackers but we think its low season because is lovely and quiet. We are staying in a beach bungalow that has been built into the rocks on White Sands beach, it so nice it's like a little bit of bohemian paradise! The views across the bay are spectacular and especially the sunset. The only issue we are having with the beach is the fact...
