Nov 18, 2006 - Ko Phi Phi, Thailand

UPDATE: Nov 24/06 Today is our last day on Phi Phi! We leave in 2 hours! We have absolutely loved our time here. Our new air-con room made for nice sleeps, the beach steps away made for nice tanning ;) and we have found lots of entertainment the last few nights. We actually watched thai boxing 3 nights in a row! It is SO amazing to watch! Jess and I sit so close you literally get hit with sweat...and a body or two when they go over the ropes. May 2, 2005 - Koh Hai

I took June & her mother to Koh Hai resort near Trang for three days & two nights. We had a 9 am flight scheduled, so to go from my hotel, to June's house & onto the airport in time for an 8.30 check in (remembering Bangkok traffic) I scheduled a 5.45 wake up. June stayed with me on Sunday night, but we still had to make the same route, as we had to pick up her mother. What I didn't know, is that today is a holiday in Thailand (Labour day or something) so there was NO traffic!! This meant arriving at June's house at 6.30 instead of 7, and...

Apr 23, 2005 - Ko Phi Phi

Ko Phi Phi was our last stop in Thailand. Lying off the west coast of the country it was one of the places worst hit by the Tsunami. When the boat pulled in to the harbour things looked normal, even when we started walking through the town we were unsure of what damage had been done. However it didn't take long for it to become evident - as we rounded a corner we saw that a complete area of the town had been wiped out and as we continued to walk, more and more damage was apparent.
