Happy New Year. Wow do the Thais have a crazy way of celebrating. We thought, okay a few squirt guns and some fun will be fine--after all, it's 90+ degrees out perhaps a little bit of water splashing will actually be fun. WRONG. Thais don't take their water fights lightly. You are not officially celebrating, apparently, until you are soaked from head to foot and covered in a thick, chalky paste that everyone carries around by the bucketful. Jan 30, 2011 - Bang Saen.
30 January. Back on the road again after the short visit in Chachoensao. From here we traveled south, first to Chonburi there even more relatives to Lek showed up. There was a exchange of people, some mostly older people chooses to stay in Chonburi and other people joined us for the last step to Bang Saen beach just outside Chonburi. I am nut sure, but I think that Bang Saen is the closest public beach to Bangkok. The beach is a couple kilometers long and lined with palm trees.
