Our European Summer

Jul 16, 2008 - British Airways flight #2589 from Aeroporto di Venezia, Marco Polo, into Gatwick London

Arriving in Palma de Mallorca at 2:00 a.m. and having Daniel pick us up at the airport in the wee hours .. . Very quiet in the airport .. . My luggage arrived but Randall´s didn´t. It´s so great to be back on the island thirteen years after our first trip to the Balerics. We just can´t wait to see Kaira, Elijah, Ethan and Dylan!! Mallorca is one of the great European playgrounds. Over 6 million tourists visit this Balearic Island in the Mediterranean about 200 km from Barcelona off the coast of Spain. On a busy summer day, over 700 flights...

Our European Summer

Jun 2, 2008 - Mallorca, Spain

My last stop with Sam & Shab was a few glorious days at our all-inclusive Iberostar resort on the island of Mallorca. An all-inclusive was just what the doctor ordered. What did we do? We ate three huge buffet meals a day, we laid by the pool all afternoon, we enjoyed the evening entertainment on the terrace...a little bit like Kellerman's from Dirty Dancing. I've never felt so relaxed! For me, it was the perfect way to say goodbye to Spain and goodbye to Europe!
