A few hours from Hogsback and along the coast, we arrived at Cintsa (like Hogsback, a community of under 2000 people). The town is mostly known for surfing, beaches and hiking. We did none of this (lousy weather and noisy neighbors are to blame), but did enjoy a fabulous view of the beach from our safari tent.

Sep 29, 2008 - September Holiday Cont...

At Cintsa we stayed at the backpackers, Buckaneers, this was also a very nice place but coming from the Coffee Shack it was hard to enjoy it as much as we probably should have. The dorms overlooked a lagoon and ocean. The area outside of Buccaneers had very little for people of our age as Cintsa is a place where retirees go for holidays. Luckily we were only staying for the one night. We met up with another Australian that we met at the Coffee Shack so this made the stay a lot more enjoyable. especially when we started to play drinking games

May 21, 2008 - Cintsa - Lazy Days

Possibly our laziest days so far considering we didn't actually do anything! We enjoyed walking past the lagoon and across the beach to reach the local shops to do some super market shopping! The weather the beautiful every single day and we spent loads of time chilling out and reading our books! We are currently living with Ghecko's at the momment... when we first found the poo we thought we had rats in our room and we were freaking out and were very jumpy for a couple of hours (mainly me) just ioncase they ate our toes! Sep 1, 2007 - Cintsa

After Durban we caught the baz bus 12hrs down the coast to the tiny beach village if Cintsa. Our hostel is right on the hill lokking down onto the beach and lagoon, so peacful and quiet! After our tiring trip we enjoyed a fantastic mexican spread put on by the hostel and then went into the bar for a few games of pool. The next day we spent on the beach, James had a go at surfing, the major sport all along this coast and I worked on mi tan.
