by Lora One of our first days, we visited a site called Nayong Pilipino, where different aspects of Filiino culture is presented. We got to see replicas of famous sites in the Philippines, including indigenous homes, rice terraces, etc. On our way home, our car broke down, adding to the adventure!

Aug 9, 2008 - Floridablanca (The Farm)

Bugs and spiders are the prominent wildlife around the farm and so apologies if you don't like insects and spiders. The birthday party was just an event I stumbled upon on one of my solo walks across the surrounding countryside. I was invited to drink some of their neat gin and take some snaps which I will send back to The Philippines in the coming weeks.

It wasn't the same looking forward to this vacation as usual. A few weeks before my departure I had to realise that I was so badly behind with my studying, that I actually gonna have to take advantage of the time off work to study. I knew this would be tough and it ended up being even worse than I've expected.
