Day 17 Early start as we leave Lima and travel to the Ballestas Island where we take a boat trip to see all the wildlife including seals, numerous birds and penguins. After a quick lunch we head to the small desert town of Ica. An amazing dune buggy ride driven by a crazy driver took us further into the desert. We also had the opportunity to try sand boarding but there are not many pictures of me doing this as I was not standing up for long. After this we were dropped of in the desert and we enjoyed watching the best sunset I have ever seen...

Sep 26, 2005 - Aguas Caliente

Okay so the train mutiny to Aguas finally settled and Meike and I arrive in the morning to try and catch the hot springs. So we wonder into the iPeru office where the lady working there was some happy to see a person or maybe a gringo, not sure which or maybe it was it was to practice her English. Regardless all hope smashed again friends, yes you're lucky day they were being cleaned. Nice to know they clean them but not when we're there damnit. But as an alternative she tells us about a trek that will give us a great view of Manchu Picchu,...
