Sunday 26 April 2015 On the road by 9am and heading north to the Bay of Plenty. Very pretty drive past Lake Rotoiti, Lake Rotoehu and Lake Rotoma. Plenty of fishermen around on the shore and out in boats. Our first stop was Whakatane to visit the Info Centre, gather brochures and maps, then head across the road to coffee shop to plan our day. The helpful girl in Info Centre said we should allow two days to get to Gisborne as there was a lot to see. As we had not allowed that much time, we were left wondering how our days would work out. Sep 13, 2007 - Tokomaru Bay

Well, when I get around to uploading more pictures, this will be just a bunch of sunset and crayfish shots... east cape - first place the sun rises yadda yadda yadda. and i went crayfish potting. fun but a bit weird when the pier was old and had holes in it. caught some slimy blind eel thing that looked like blinky from the simpsons except it was white and only had 2 eyes that didn't work and it was the slimiest fish I've ever seen.
