Mar 24, 2011 - HEAPHY TRACK

we hiked part of the longest track in NZ, the Heaphy Track that runs parallel to the coast along the Tasman sea. The views were awesome..we even went through some palm tree groves..native to west coast of NZ. We hiked 12 miles in total..around 6 hrs including our lunch reak. Everyone seemed to get a pretty good workout today. The beaches are pristine...there was so much driftwood..an artist's dream..i found a few nice small pieces to bring home with me along with some nice shells. Feb 2, 2010 - still driving

Tues Jan 26 The weather has been really great for the last while, and another wonderful day today. We woke with the mountains surrounding us, one covered in snow. First thing today we took a little walk to see another view of Mt. Cook and the glacier lake. Dan and Sydney walked on a bit further to a swing bridge while Madeline and I stayed and took pictures of them.
