May 5, 2013 - Two E's and an impressive causeway

We started our day in the nearby pretty town of Elberg. This town had once been a Zuider Zee port which sits now on the narrow waterway called the Veluwemeer which separates the mainland from the Oostelijk Flevoland polder. It was a lovely place to wander around, have coffee and cake on the square and interesting in that it had a central grid of streets encircled by a protective wall and moat. Sep 5, 2007 - heading north but looking for chocolate in belguim first

On the homeward stretch. Found good belguim chocolate and left belguim, we were not to impressed with belguim. Entered into the Netherlands and drove up the West coast to the town of Enkhuizen, found a bed and breakfast because of rain, walked around town alot like Amsterdam with canals on the ocean, cobblestone streets, 1700 archititure, a wonderful town.
