Kdyz i nejaky nosic...

Nov 1, 2016 - Jdeme dál

Ráno nám to klasický trvá, Dzos navíc vyřizuje pracovní emaily, takze zdrzuje. Před desátou ale vyrazíme. Cesta jde hned do kopce a následně nechutne z kopce a klesame az na úroveň 3300 metrů. To jsme uz v půli cesty a dáváme oběd.

May 12, 2013 - Day 14 Kala Pattar and then down to Pangboche

Kala Pattar – 5545m 3 hours return Pangboche – 3980 5.5 hours Up at the ungodly hour of 3:45am and ready for our hike up Kala Pattar – the highest point of our journey and the best view of Everest! Thoughtful Bikesh greets us with warm tea – he saved it from last night as the kitchen isn’t open yet> What a sweet thing to do. We started at 4:30am and it was so beautiful, although quite cold. A blanket of fresh white snow cover the ground and the surrounding peaks. The only light shone from our headlamps. As we slowly and methodically wound...

May 6, 2013 - Day 8 Tengboche to Pangboche

Pangboche 4000m 1.5 hours Wow, I slept right through until 4am and then dozed until 5:30am. I was up in time to see the sun rise over Ama Dablam and took several photos. It is such a great time of the day! A beautiful old black yak came meandering along and stood quietly while I took several photos of him – so obliging! I said to Bikesh I would love to pet him and he just laughed and said, ok I will watch and take the video. We had breakfast outside as it was sunny and warm once the sun came over the mountains. Shortly before 8am we left...

May 3, 2008 - Pangboche. Change of plans!

Day 6: Leaving Tengboche early, moving up to Pangboche Pangboche is another town on the trail. It's actually the starting point for climbers who want to scale Ama Dablam. We left Tengboche since there's not much there except the gompa and to go further along the trail. The group were a bit restless, not needing a second rest day here so Subal changed the schedule a bit. We bade farewell to Dave and a heavily loaded Prem and set off once more. Jane and Jenny told me not to worry and they'd be my "foster mums" and look out for me. The Irish...
