29 October to 1 November - Ngapli (pronounced Napali) Beach It's idealic here – long fine white sand beach, virtually no hawkers except the occasional woman swaying down the beach in local dress with a huge pot of fruit on her head - offering tourists fresh fruit – but no pressure. Spent several hours walking to one end of the beach this morning and then took a quick dip in the warm sea. I’ve been lazy – reading several books and working a bit on my blog. Oct 30, 2015 - Rakhine Prawn - Ngapli Beach, Myanmar

You all know what a foodie I am. Sometimes I think I travel to eat. Rakhine is famous for its fresh and delicious seafood so we decided to sample some. Last night I had the most delicious Rakhine Prawn Curry. It was one of those dishes that one will always fondly remember and talk about when one gets old - that is the tradition handed down by my father.
