Welcome to Kisii, a happening place filled with....well not a lot! But I've got ahead of myself. My journey started in Nairobi, or Nairobbery as it is also known. My journey was good apart from a 10hour stop over in Dubai where I spent the night sleeping on a bench in Burger King! When you arrive, make sure you use a registered taxi, otherwise you'll get ripped off big time! Also, if you coming to East Africa, make sure all your US $ notes are printed after 2000, so should be series 2000 or after, they've stopped accepting ones printed...

Mar 11, 2005 - Kenya

Jambo, How is everyone? Well this is probably going to be my last entry since I am leaving Africa in 2 days!! Crazy to think that I only have the weekend and then I am heading home. Anyway I have now gone to the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengetti and I have seen the big 5 plus a lot of cheetahs, zebras, wildebeest and giraffes. Plus I got to see the cheetahs chase a herd of zebras.... no kill but still it was cool to watch. I also got to camp out in the serengetti and fall asleep listening to hyenas laughing and lions roaring. Defintely...

Mar 2, 2005 - Safari, Part Two

Along the way, we had many experiences over ten days with our four fellow travelers and Shaibu - our driver and guide. Along with amazing animal and bird life, a few noteworthy events happened. The first happening was at a bathroom (a generous use of the word) stop. Monkeys were spotted in the area, and Shaibu warned us that they would try and steal food. As soon as he stepped away, Jennifer found herself alone in the vehicle with a monkey - he had slipped in through the roof and managed to get to the lunches and steal some fruit without...
