Thu 20th Nov. Fine, cold morning. A lovely breakfast at 7:30, no-one wanted to demolish the appealing presentation. Eventually we ate a meal that was as good as it looked. After checkout at 8, my gracious host saw me to the door. I thanked her for the stay in her lovely home and set off downtown to the Waka-honjin, the secondary accommodation for the Emperor, Daimyo, or Shogun's retinue.
