Pete called from Sakaiminato and things are going fine. He said that, although he is ready to pack, the space constraints in their room are such that he will actually just have to get up on Thursday morning, throw everything in his suitcase, and move it on out right then so there will be enough room to walk around in the cabin! He said that there were quite a few vacancies on the cruise they are on now so the management raffled off a few rooms to crew members. A friend of Pete's got a Junior Suite but even that was pretty small. We guess...

Jun 16, 2014 - not what we expected

You can read and reread a tour description and still get the wrong impression of what to expect. That happened to us today. The most important fact the description left out was that it was a two hour drive each way. If we’d known that we wouldn’t have gone. Although the guide spoke decent English, she talked about things we knew nothing about and sometimes used different words than we would have used.
