Enjoyed a really fun dinner last night , refer pic, sooooo tasty. Last walk around Gion area, rather sad to be departing Kyoto tomorrow. I have really enjoyed my 4 days here. Kyoto has got to be one of my favourite cities, defs up there with Mumbai which is also one of my favourite cities. I've enjoyed the beauty and interesting aspects of this fine city, as well as all the fun things I have done since being here, wonderful Geisha tour, walking tour with Samurai Joe San which was so interesting and finally such a great day on the bike...Jump to full entry

Lets get to the Japanese headlines. Tourism last year was down more than 20 percent. As you might expect, this was due to the global economic recession. Vegetable prices are skyrocketing in Japan due to the weather. It has been colder than normal and temperature swings wider than normal. Some restaurants are struggling with the high cost of vegetables, they don’t want to raise prices, yet the bottom line is suffering.
