ALOHA ALL: I promised myself to pass along some useful cruise tips for your next cruise. 1)Determine your cruise by destination first, then shop for price. Reward programs help with the latter. Be sure to check out the onboard deposit program, as that gives terrific shipboard credits. May 13, 2010 - MURORAN, JAPAN

ALOHA ALL: Muroran is our last Asian port. It felt good to be in Japan(JP) once again. Muroran is the port of Sapporo. We had given thought to taking the transfer there, but is was 2hrs+by bus. Instead we stayed 'in town' traveling by buses set up by the tourist office for us-a red line, blue line traveling between ship and 5 stops in opposite directions, so we could go back n forth. Our first stop was the Bolta Factory-a guy welding nuts and bolts together to make cute little figures, also a sales store. It was cooler but not raining, so...

Apr 29, 2008 - On to Hokkiado

We got on the ferry in Aomori and took a 6 hour ferry ride to Muroran. The ferry was great, complete with restaurant, a beer machine and even a hot bath area. After landing Patty and Cheryl had a different hotel than Rocky and Yuki, but we found each other wondering around town after dark. Rocky and Yuki couldn't resist the temptation of round table sushi even though they ate on the boat.
