From Koyasan, we made our way to Takayama. A beautiful mountain town nestled in the Hida mountains, located in the Japanese Alps. This is the perfect town for some R&R after traveling for a couple of weeks. It has a picturesque historical district with merchants' homes, sake breweries, small canals and bridges offering breathtaking views of the mountains. May 26, 2006 - Takayama and an Izekaya

Okay folks, I am back! I have been told by a certain someone that I have been slacking with my site.  So here I am! I will do my best here to narrate. I visited a town called Takayama which is just two hours north from Nagoya. The town attracts a lot of tourists even Japanese tourists. The reason is that Takayama is suppose to be a mini-Kyoto.
