Wiki Info Kerman 5-23 Mehdi came to our hotel with his friend, Hosen, our driver of yesterday who then drove us to the bus station. Hosen is a football coach/instructor...would have liked to talk more with him but he doesn't speak English though I think understands a bit. The bus is a VIP one, very cushy with wide, spacious (3 across) but very uncomfortable seats. Aug 31, 2005 - The drive from Shiraz to Kerman

Today was another motorway day. Early in the day we travelled across a flat plain, obviously irrigated, with ever changing mountains around us. We drove across the desert for a large proportion of the day - long and flat. We could only see the mountains in the distance. There was a salt lake - rather low and showing the salt, in the middle of the day. We stopped to adnire it and found some lovely fig trees. The farmer will not notice that there are now fewer.... There may not be many messages over the next few days as we do not have two...
