Dec 13, 2010 - Ellora Hoehlen

Nov 22, 2009 - Ellora caves

Well Ellora has to be the most impressive place we've been the temples have been carved out of the solid rock of the mountain by hand since 6th century BC. They have utilized natural caves as well as creating columns to support their man made temple caverns. The effort put into these constructions is astounding..

Nov 19, 2008 - A World Heritage Site!

SUMMARY  Ajanta Caves  The lovely taxi ride to my next port of call  Trying to get a hotel  Getting train tickets for the next three destinations DETAIL A tuc-tuc to the bus station and wait for the 7:00am Ajanta Caves bus. It comes, at least I think it’s the right bus and I push and I shove and I squeeze onto the bus. We leave dead on 7:00 and it’s a rickety old bus and I make it by 8:30 as planned. The LL explained I have to run the gantlet through the venders who are immediately outside entrance – there’re right! A guy had got on the...
